Gordon T. “Skip” Greeby, President
Gordon GreebyBefore founding his company in 1978, Skip served with the U. S. Army Corps of Engineers and was Assistant Professor in West Point’s Department of Engineering. He joined the shopping center industry in 1977, co-developed and is an owner in a retail center in Wisconsin.

His combination of engineering skills and developer savvy make Skip an honest-to-goodness “value engineer”. With the Owner’s needs in mind, always, Skip and his team advise rookie and seasoned developers alike on the best ways to maximize their returns and minimize risk.

In addition to a BS from the United States Military Academy at West Point, Skip holds Master of Science Civil Engineering degrees in Soil Mechanics and Construction Management from Stanford University.

He serves the International Council of Shopping Centers as a member of Board of Trustees; Chairman – Certified Development, Design and Construction Professional Designation Governing Committee; member – International Design and Development Awards Committee; recipient – Distinguished Service Award (1999). Skip also served as the 1990/1991 Chairman of the Design and Construction Conference (CenterBuild) and spearheaded the charge to increase registrations from 180 in 1991 to nearly 2,000 today.

Skip is an instructor, speaker and facilitator at numerous ICSC seminars and conferences, and also serves CoreNet Global as Course Director for the Executive Development Program, and completed the Master of Corporate Real Estate course with honors.  He has also taught at the Urban Land Institute’s Real Estate Development School, and is a member of the Economic Club of Chicago.

Michael is responsible for company administration and new business development, and serves as Owner’s Representative on several Greeby projects throughout the country.

Michael joined the commercial real estate design and construction industry in 1995 and immediately hit the ground running, gaining valuable field experience working for developers, engineering design consultants, and general contractors. He served as a construction manager for The Taubman Company and General Growth Properties, managing the renovation and expansion of two regional shopping centers and the ground-up construction of a third center. His responsibilities included awarding subcontracts and tracking project budgets, processing draw requests and change orders, and coordinating the mall construction activities with anchor store construction, tenant build-out and out-parcel construction.

Before joining General Growth, Michael worked as Staff Engineer for a Chicago-based civil engineering firm, assisting in the design of water transport systems, roadway infrastructure, and wetland preservation and restoration.

Michael earned a BS in Civil and Environmental Engineering from Cornell University. His service to International Council of Shopping Centers includes participation on the RECon Intellectual Advisory, CenterBuild, RetailGreen, Environmental and Next Generation Program Committees, and creating and leading conference sessions including “Development 101", "Green Construction Lease Exhibits" and "Tenant Design Criteria.” He passed the ICSC Certified Development, Design and Construction examination and currently holds a SCDP designation.  Additionally, he has completed CoreNet Global Masters of Corporate Real Estate program and is a Registered Engineering Intern in the State of New York. Michael’s articles have been published in Shopping Center Business, Shopping Centers Today and has been fetaured in Inmobiliare magazine.



Michael R. Lawson, Vice President
Michael LawsonMichael heads Greeby’s West Coast team. He has more than 17 years of diverse management experience in power and lifestyle centers, and the multi-family, industrial, food service and commercial development industries.

His responsibilities at Greeby include new business development, serving clients across the country and overseeing the company’s field associates.

Michael has worked at all levels of Owner’s Representative services from Tenant Coordinator to Development Manager and is an effective team manager. His specialty is financial analyses, acquisitions, development and entitlement processes, as well as Project Management and Tenant Coordination.

Before joining Greeby, Michael was Development Manager/Director of Tenant Services for O&S Holdings, LLC, where he managed lifestyle retail, power center, build-to-suit and multi-family project development. While at the San Diego-based Montana Group, he was vice president and CFO responsible for the acquisition, entitlement, financial analysis and management of the company’s development projects.

As Director of Tenant Services for TrizecHahn, Michael was directly responsible for tenant coordination teams that opened Desert Passage, Las Vegas; Hollywood & Highland, Hollywood, and Paseo Colorado in Pasadena.

Michael earned a Master of Real Estate Development degree from University of Southern California and a BA in Urban Studies from Vassar College. He is active in the International Council of Shopping Centers and holds the SCDP designation.



George J. Khouri, Senior Associate
George KhouriRunning the Boston office is Greeby’s “professor”, George Khouri, a 40-year industry veteran.

George spent 23 years at Finard & Company LLC, a preeminent commercial real estate services firm in New England, where he was a senior founding partner. He was responsible for all development, permitting, design and construction for projects ranging from regional malls to major office buildings and full-service hotels.

Before co-founding Finard & Company, George was the Director of Engineering for Rand Industries Inc. of Boston, MA, a development and construction firm.

George offers our clients a senior-level perspective. He has served as a permitting consultant to states and municipalities, and has lectured to major organizations on time management, permitting, construction management, redevelopment and renovation. He is a designer, a registered professional engineer and past president of The Associated Builders and Contractors.

Active in ICSC, George has served as facilitator and/or panelists on numerous topics, and sits on the CenterBuild Program Committee. He has authored several articles including “Construction of Power Centers, for Banker & Tradesman Magazine, “Design Build Projects” for New England Real Estate Journal, and is a contributing editor to ICSC’s book, Shopping Center Redevelopment & Renovation.

He is a member of the Boston Society of Architects, American Consulting Engineers Council, American Planning Institute, and is a Registered Professional Engineer in Massachusetts and New Hampshire.

George has a BS in Civil Engineering from the University of Massachusetts, a Certificate in Architecture from Boston Architectural Center, and completed Harvard Graduate School of Design’s 10-week program, “Managing the Development Process.”
